In May 2013 I bought a house in Plymouth after having lived In Tavistock for many years. I now live close to the Barbican with my fiancé and my black Labrador called Rook whom is a rescue dog that I rescued in August 2007.
I am a Senior Web Developer where I lead a team of 6 developers. I love my job as it gives me free rein to do what I'm best at. I am a pragmatic thinker that takes responsibility and enjoys problem solving, assisting my team in any way I can and ultimately helping them become even better developers.
I have been lucky enough to produce work for big companies like Symantec, SAP, and MasterCard all the way through to small local businesses.
One day back in 1997 my mum just decided to take me to Currys and part with over £1,500 for a computer. I hadn't even asked for a computer (or shown any real interest in them) but she took the "gamble" after reading in a newspaper that computers were going to be a thing of the future!
From there, I always knew I wanted to do something with computers but didn't know what that would be at that time of my life. But now...
...I have an MSc (2008) and BSc (Hons) in Digital Art & Technology (formerly MediaLab Arts) from the University of Plymouth. The course/s developed my creative, critical, interactive, technological, and entrepreneurial skills.
Aside from walking and playing with my dog (a lot), I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and looking forward to our future together. I am also an Assistant Explorer Scout Leader and have been for over 3 years now. Finally, I am a keen basketball fan and also pick up my violin from time-to-time.
